Thank you for your interest in Anglia Ruskin University.
We’re an ambitious academic community and we’re proud of the lifelong relationships formed by those who work and study here, and of the friendly atmosphere – which visitors quickly identify as unusual for such a large organisation.
While our roots date back to 1858, when John Ruskin opened our Cambridge School of Art, we’re more interested in people’s futures. An Anglia Ruskin graduate has a nine out of ten chance of being in work or further study within six months of leaving us. Three in every four secure professional jobs, outperforming most other graduates and our graduates tend to earn more than those from other institutions.
We're particularly proud that in turn, our students have praised us in the National Student Survey. For the second successive year, our courses have been rated among the most intellectually stimulating in the country and our lecturers rated among the most enthusiastic and interesting.
We’re proud of our research achievements and the results of the REF, the government’s assessment of research in all UK universities, have been a reason for celebration with 12 areas of academic studies recognised as world-leading. As a result we moved up 18 places in the key league table of research and making an impact that stretches way beyond academia.
In addition to our research results, our innovation in teaching and business development has led to us being awarded the Entrepreneurial University of the Year. We’ve pioneered degree-level learning in the work place with such major employers as Barclays, Boots, Specsavers, UPS, Crawfords, Ridegeons and Harrods and this will become an increasing feature of our work in the next few years. Not forgetting our international partnerships that go from strength to strength in countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Malaysia and China where students study our programmes in their own countries.
In recent years we’ve invested more than £122 million in new facilities and have transformed our campuses. Furthering our significant presence in the East of England with University Centres in Peterborough and Harlow in addition to our partnership with the College of West Anglia in Kings Lynn and Milton near Cambridge.
We’ve much to be proud of and we know that – together – we can achieve even more. We do hope you’ll join us.
